Code-named Sequoia, the new laser technology developed by Spectra Precision, now Trimble, was envisioned to launch the company to new levels of profitability and international reach. The Arment Group was brought in at the beginning, a lunch with the product manager, who was concerned that the product would be released before it was ready. We suggested a test-market, beta-site approach to limit any potential damage of early release. This Lead-to-Negotiation Program was also developed to capitalize on the massive promotional campaign that the Arment Group helped launch throughout the world.
